Labyrinth

A mask of shame
Covers your face
You try to hide the thoughts you think

But I see your eyes
Glazed over with tears
I see the words pouring out in salt-water droplets

Beauty immersed in pain
You’re too afraid
To love me the same

Let our love spread like disease
Move it from our hearts to our sleeves
Let our love run through their veins
Send it through their blood stream

Crawling in the dark
Lost in a Labyrinth of pain
Got down on your knees and begged to be free

An affiliation against the world
I’m guilty of crimes you commit
I took the blame and still you don’t love me

Beauty immersed in pain
You’re too upset
To hear my words clearly

Let our love spread like disease
Move it from our hearts to our sleeves
Let our love run through their veins
Send it through their blood stream

Beauty immersed in pain
Light absorbed in night
Peace overtaken by war
Love overwhelmed by hate
A Labyrinth of pain and shame
