I See Invisible Tears
The days are long,
the nights are short.
The thoughts are there,
always there.
Creeping up on me,
possessing me.
I grab my scissors,
I roll up my sleeve,
I pull down my bracelets.
Tis time again.
I breath,
and place it to my skin,
loving the way it makes me feel.
I run it across my wrist,
and watch blood seep through.
I run it on my skin,
over and over again.
Until it welts and burns.
I look the next day,
at my arm,
and see long X shapes,
I see dried blood,
I see invisible tears.
the nights are short.
The thoughts are there,
always there.
Creeping up on me,
possessing me.
I grab my scissors,
I roll up my sleeve,
I pull down my bracelets.
Tis time again.
I breath,
and place it to my skin,
loving the way it makes me feel.
I run it across my wrist,
and watch blood seep through.
I run it on my skin,
over and over again.
Until it welts and burns.
I look the next day,
at my arm,
and see long X shapes,
I see dried blood,
I see invisible tears.
