Lost Boy.

Lost boy.

He’s a lost soul, stuck in the agony of yesterday
I don’t know how to help him, but I know I’ll just have to pray.
I’m begging him to stick around for a while.
Every second he lives, is a reason to smile.

God, I hope this boy finds his place,
Don’t let him be another forgotten face.
This world's so cruel; don’t let him be the victim,
Don’t let him fall into this merciless system.

Tell me he’s alright, tell me he’s ok.
And maybe I can actually get through this day.
Forget about me, I need to help him.
Take away his pain; let him breathe in.

He walks with a demeanor of blackened sorrow,
He survived today, but will he survive tomorrow?
For once, I found someone just like me.
He opens his wounds, but I won’t let him bleed.

Take it out on me, don’t punish him again,
I won’t let him die, no-this won’t be his end.
He’ll die happy, and fast with little or no pain,
Just look me in the eyes, and forget who’s to blame.

Your young, and smart, sure you’ve been through a lot.
But you’re not alone now, yeah. It’s me who you’ve got.
Thick and thin or in the rain, I’ll be here to keep you warm and sane.
Don’t give up yet; I need you to see,
That you’ll smile once more, and it’ll be because of me.
