Distance and Time(Partners in Crime)

The words are still unspoken

The promises we have had have all but been broken

I wish those words would have been whispered

They should have been, though they never found a way

But the clocks strikes thirteen

And the beating of our hearts stopped

Those times we had, the laughs we shared

There could have been more but fate was

Keeping score

The time kept us apart

But we still held each others heart

The words we wanted to say so badly

Were fated to never be said

The pen and paper that we held dear

Was all we needed to calm our fears

The words we wrote were words unsaid

Always will be until we meet our death beds

Even at that time has its own plans

And the miles are following along

I wish that this feeling would be gone

So we could both move on

Yet again fate is cruel

We were supposed to lose

Maybe just maybe

We can beat the odds

Say the words without any fears

The optimism was the in air

It fell down and we both screamed it wasn’t fair

We lost our voices

Our mouths sewed shut

We had the chance just never took it up

The time flew by when I had you

Minutes and seconds were far and few

I wish to this day I still had you

But I lost my voice and the courage

To say I was different and that I wasn’t scared

That I was here and you were there
