You say that I'm at the top
Yet I feel like I'm always getting
pushed to the bottom,
not by you but by everyone else in the world.

I swear nothing that I do will
ever be good enough to anyone
but you.

I feel lost and confused
but I'll always turn your way
if only you'll say okay.

The strength within us will always be envied
don't you dare say it's a lie.
We can accomplish anything
just you and I.

Just tell me when it's rocky,
so we can move to solid ground.
