The Girl You Don't See

It's funny to me,
How better it can be,
When we work together,
Our work comes out better,
And its just so easy.

But at times I must wonder,
Can a friendship be torn asunder?
By a girl I've come to hate,
Can't he see that she's second-rate?
To date her would be a blunder.

At school he loves to tease,
And I hate when for her he leaves,
She has never been nice,
With her cold heart made of ice,
What is it in her that he sees?

When I think on it though
And my ideas begin to flow
I realize that it's her beauty
That must be the key
And I want to say, "So?"

She screws around with guys
They're drawn to her like flies
After getting dumped by a boy
She tried for the brother--her new toy
If they could only see her cruel surprise.

To other girls she is mean,
Unless with a boy she is seen,
And the one guy I try for
Thinks that she is to die for
I wish for her he was not so keen.

One day I hope,
With much more than just soap
The evil inside her
Will make her an outsider
And the world will see that she is a dope.

But for now I must wait,
And only secretly hate,
For that guy I will get
So I am not upset
To see our friendship in this state.

So I decided to write this after watching the girl I talk about above, outrageously flirting with the guy I like. And the part about her dating a younger boy and then trying for his brother?--that's true. But when I talk to the guy I like about her, he says that he really doesn't think of her as all that great--which is good! I hope that one day, some day, she'll learn her lesson.
