Villanelle One.

Hollow-boned birds in spiral flight
Write frenzied forms upon the sky,
Bidding adieu to this day's light.

A time long past now robs my sight
When I was not ashamed to cry
At hollow-boned birds in spiral flight.

Walking through a park at night
I spot some grass on which to lie,
Bidding adieu to this day's light.

In distant cities, bright lovers ignite
Their dreams propel them oh so high
They're hollow-boned birds in spiral flight.

Suspended from a dizzy height
They see my sadness, but know not why
I'm bidding adieu to this day's light.

Wounded by an imagined slight
I bite my tongue and close my eyes
'Gainst hollow-boned birds in spiral flight
Bidding adieu to this day's light.

I would love constructive criticism, just try not to be overly harsh because I have a soft spot for this poem.
