Unfair Love

She sits down wearily
Careful about her says
She doesn’t like these touching lies
He tells her everyday

He tells her countless stories
Of how he’s not what she thinks
That she’ll come around shortly
And be flushed with pink

But as he speaks through those lips
They soon turn into risky lies
And as that timing jar tips
So does the colour in his eyes

He comes home smelling like sin
Yet he doesn’t heed at all
That it’s he who she can pin
Through this intensive fall

But she can’t escape
No parachutes to save her at all
He goes out at night to rape
And yet he still stands tall

It’s that irresistible force again
Drawing her in every bit
She’s already gone insane
And now there’s only one last straw to free her from it

“Death,” her mind and heart sung
Seeing it as a big opportunity
She swallows the poison, down her lungs
Gawking at her decision and creativity
