Original Life Guard

Down on the firm ground I layed
My head, back, arms and legs all aching
Like cheeks sliced in half by a blade
All my humanity, I was sure it was taking.

Drowning in the darkest pits of ocean, sea
The salty water clogging every getaway I had
No doors would unlock and I lost all keys
Without an authentic reason, it was too bad.

But only then did I find minor hope
And it was right before my very own eyes
Maybe it was the fact that I was too dead to see
Only surrounded by gripping darkness and cries

They were bright, green wings made flawlessly of leaves
And thy gleaming halo was the colour of rainbows
It carried an excuse to not wear long sleeves
And unraveled my dreary eyes with live tango

And now with every memory, I awake with silent glee
Just to hear the melodious voice of Nature sing
And swing life away I surely will with thee;
Flowing free without a care or harsh sting!

Thankyou!
