Crimson

I let out a deep heavy sigh,
another day to clean this up.
To clean up the blood on the floor.
To watch it drip from the shiny silver blade.

I scoff at my stupidity,
I promised never to do it again.
Yet I wish to break the promise and watch it pour,
to feel the power of the crimson take hold.

Yet, for you I stop.
I let everything fester,
to please you, keep you happy.
I let the pain attack me. For you.

I ache to see the crimson that runs through me,
but for you, I close my eyes just to imagine it.
I ache for the feel of the crimson sliding down myself,
but again, for you I close my eyes and imagine it.

My eyes open sharp with a gasp of quick air.
I whisper your name hoping you are there.
I'm wrong, your not and I ache.
I clench the bed keeping my control away from the shiny silver blade.
