coward

You look at me through narrowed eyes
Scanning me, scrutinizing me, working up your lies
So you can beat me down again with untruth
I guess it's all fun and games for you
I tell them who you really are
Beneath the makeup are your scars
You hide them and act like you've truly changed
But you can't remake yourself, inside you're still the same
You're a coward, afraid to be rejected by the cliques
You're as fake as your nails and I'm sick of it
Why can't you just be yourself
Instead of hiding behind the face of someone else?
I guess I'll just wait around
Until your facade comes crashing down
And when that day comes, what will I say?
''Why did you have to act that way?''
