Chocolate Murmur

The cold air whispers to me,

Telling me to flee.

My heart trembles softly

Letting you know quietly

How much I loved you.

You don’t even have a clue.

And how much I cared

The simple memories we shared.

Can’t you just tell?

Me what kind of spell

She used on you to cause tears

To fall down and show fears.

I can’t see the road I paved so very long ago,

Something that included you, you know.

But I guess you’ll never see

How long it was and you were with me.

I grab the chocolates I bought

For you, but now my dream’s shot.

The caramel mutters something numinous,

Fantasizing me as your one and only precious.

My hands shake violently,

Trusting this information fully.

Cherry is capricious and tells me of

Being your own true love.

This isn’t accurate;

She also said you are delicate.

I don’t know what to trust

I close the box- once covered in rust;

Now shining brightly

And beaming luminously.

To leave me once again dreaming

And hopelessly singing

Waiting for you to save me

We’d end very happily.

That’s not going to happen

If she’s still your captain.
