I wanna live on the moon

I wish I were on the moon-

Far away from pain and heartbreak.

This world is going nowhere;

I've had all I can take.

On the moon I would be happy...

Only coming out at night.

I'd share my life with the stars

And by day be out of sight.

No one up there could judge me

And sadness never existed.

I would never be lonely because

I'd glance at the world and reminisce it.

I'd remember being broken...

My confidence- I lacked.

Being so consumed with the world,

I carried burdens on my back.

I was put down and done wrong

To where my heart had turned to dust.

I was walked on and ignored-

There was no one I could trust.

On the moon I would be happy.

Up there- I would be free.

Those that looked at the sky in awe

Would wish they could be me.
