In A Silenced Cell

Sitting in a silence cell.
Let's just say I was burning in hell.

When all that's good and well is gone and dead,
You were the only soul I never let my heart shed.

The others,
They were gone once rumors were out.

"She's a witch!"
The townsmen shout.

Many tortures have begun,
My body wishing; a death by gun.

Short.
Quick.
Fast and slick.
The pain not as lasting.

You were the only among the ones,
Who wished I would not suffer.

You did your best,
To fight the rest,
While my body was dead in slumber.

When awoken,
I received the message.

"He's dead. Slain because of you. Such outrageous things that boy would do for you."

And as I cried in chains,
You hummed to me.
A lullaby through the wind.
My body falling into numbness.

When I woke, the light was bright.
You opened your arms, waiting for me.

Our chains were broken.
We are now set free.
