Dreamland

Tall grass rolls for miles and miles, like a sea in the breeze
The smell of the forests puts me at absolute ease
As I lay on the ground, in sync with what happens around me
My eyes wander along the surrounding harmony

Oh how peaceful this place seems to be
Being in no one’s company
My how this sight fills me with glee
If only like this could the world agree

I suddenly stand up:
Oh how I must dance, how I must twirl in this beautiful place
How I must skip in this wonderful grace
Withdrawn from a faux grin on my joyous face
Where wickedness leaves not a single trace

Abruptly, the ground begins to shake
My balance is shattered and I collapse onto the ground
The skies turn mysterious in the moment of my unreal wake
And I then realized how unrealistically this place was profound

This was not the genuine world, how could it possibly be?
Because with my naïve-blinded eyes I could not see
That this carefree, pleasant world was not reality
Instead, it was a very catastrophic potpourri

And so I woke up from my once safe Dreamland
I decided to change the world, and for once, make a stand
