By The Light of The Dawn

The rain fills the air as I stare up at the black sky
Thunder claps and the lightning slaps
The wind howls and whips my hair around
Right now, there is no hope

Fear grips my heart as I start to see more darkness
I see my brother in the distance near a bright light, reaching out for me
I start to run towards him, reaching my pale arm to him
But my legs are like dead weights, not moving

I cry and scream as he goes further away
"Please God. Take away my pain and let me see him again"

At this moment, the clouds part and the sky's new colors refelect off the glassy pond
My brother stops backing away and looks back at me, reaching out his arm again
His eyes are almost pleading as I reach my arm out again
My legs are set free and I run as fast as my small legs can carry me towards him

I reach his arms, happy tears sliding their way down my face
He sits down with me in his lap, holding me to him,
As we watch the sun rise together
