Shoot the bride

She stared out the window,
eyes glassy as the moonlight,
She stared out the window,
and was not doing alright.

She stared at the officer's car,
with it's brightly coloured lights,
She stared at the car,
what a depressing sight.

She stared at the trees,
and how the moved in the wind,
She stared at the trees,
knowing she had sinned.

She stared at everything, before the darkness came.
The girl stared at everything, would it look the same?

The girl turned around, seeing the man with his device,
To him, her being dead would just about suffice.

She looked at the man, her eyes big and wide.
"Just get it over with- shoot your bride."

The man clicked the lock and pulled the trigger,
her already wide eyes just got bigger.

The man left her there, broken on the floor,
he dropped the gun and went out of the door.

He got in his car and drove away,
never thinking about the day,
he decided it was okay,
to shoot the bride,
because her Dad didn't pay.
