Beautiful Afterlife

Beautiful oceans stretch far and wide,
No need to run, no need to hide.
Dancing trees that sway,
Here is where you'll stay.
And lie in wait under the sun,
But please know your life here isn't done.
And all the tears that I've shed,
And all the blood that I've bled.
I'll still hold your heart high in my hand,
And keep it safe until you return from your land.
And even if all my thoughts turn black,
I'll always remember that you're coming back.
I'll lay on my blanket under the moon,
Knowing that I'll see you soon.
And I'll watch as you take wings and fly,
Knowing that this is never goodbye.
I hope that you can see me now,
I hope it's better there, somewhere, somehow.
And even though the news hurt more than it should,
I hope everything turns out good.
