Silent Lullaby

Hearts they are breaking, after you are gone,
All the tears run down my face as I listen to one of your songs.
You were special I know that, you made me smile,
You were funny always happy you were so hyper you could run a mile.
But today I got the news you pasted,
I pray to God the last moments of your life weren't painful but fast.

Somebody could have saved you, if only we had known,
You didn't look like you were dieing, no sign of pain was shown.
You went to fast, you went to soon,
Those funny moments you always acted like a silly goon.
But God had other plans, he took you home.
Feelings weren't ever afraid to be shown.

Today you passed but I didn't know you,
But I always heard about everything you do.
You were a band mate, you were a husband, a brother, and friend,
You showed your true colors to the very end.
We will miss you, thank you for changing my life,
Even though with you death it's full of strife.

I'll send you a prayer, I'll send you a song,
Hopefully your family can pick up the pieces and learn to move on.
I hope before you left you knew you made a difference,
In this world so messed up, and everyone in it.
There isn't a happy ending to this poem so don't expect it,
But you were made of awesome, and you were always you.

And how could anyone ever forget that?
