What The Snake Did

Push me down and watch me fall
Only to drag me up and pin me to the wall
Taking advantage of the fact we're alone in the hall
I scream in agony, no one responds to my call.

Infuriated by my rejected compliance
Picking up the sword in utter defiance
Cut off the limb I use for reliance
Leaving me to mend in a way that disregards science

Tormented by what's been done to me
I immerse myself in what can only be
A passion for pain that never flees
Taking my revenge on those I see

Committing murders with my form of art
Feeling no remorse in the capsule that holds my heart
As I watch them frantically try to flee and dart
Marked with the sign showing I've done my part

He watched my murders through awe-struck eyes
And to his loved ones he spun lies
Thinking of my destruction, his art flies
As the building explodes, he relishes their cries

We meet as I'm thrown in a jail cell near
He respects me with a fascinated fear
And with his blue eyes filled with tears
He tells me how his love for my art got him here
