The Coldest Heart

Have you ever smiled
At tragedies we hold inside.
Won’t you cherish
The fear of life that keeps us alive.
In constant dying lies,
Don’t you see the beauty of it all.
Won’t you feel the sweet heaven
In our endless cry.
Death keeps knocking at our door,
And oh so tempted we are
To open it, and die a bit more.
And of lust we are reborn.
Here we are, like before,
Waiting for the warmth of that tender storm.
Redemption beyond right and wrong,
All is lost in this war,
Reflecting each others faults.
We are like the living dead,
Sacrificing all we have.
Addicted to our divine despair,
Again we’re falling for disgrace.
Today tomorrow seems so far away,
Ashamed of the shattered promises made.
Fazed by the envy and greed,
My weak prayers are not enough to heal,
The revelation of hatred and fear.
