Do you ever catch your self
Watching the world go by?

You notice how pretty the clouds are,
You notice the trees that you love,
You awe at the glistening rivers,
And the snow-capped mountains above,

You hear the fire trucks wailing,
And the ground below littered with trash,
You wince at the graffiti drawn carelessly,
And the fighting that seems so rash,

We easily spot flaws and perfection
But what changes do you make?
Do you ever try harder, do better,
Or fix your many mistakes?

So when you travel, when you drive,
Please remember this:
Instead of being stubborn,
Try to change all that we’ve missed,

Live each day like it’s the last
And always look ahead.
Dodge the obstacles before you
And don’t rest until it’s said

Look forward to your many chances,
And live life to the fullest,
Because when you look out your window,
You’re living life to the dullest
