Double T

I went to work, in the one on the right,
Those two towers were such a sight,
Nobody knew what would happen that day,
When everything I had was taken away.

I went up the elevator, annoyed with the stairs,
Annoyed that they were having repairs,
Nobody knew what would happen that day,
When everything I had was taken away.

I went to my desk and sat in my chair,
And had my breakfast, a chocolate éclair,
Nobody knew what would happen that day,
When everything I had was taken away.

Then all of a sudden, a scream, a shout,
Everyone yelling and running about,
Nobody knew what would happen that day,
When everything I had was taken away.

I looked out the window, shocked as I saw,
A plane was heading straight to my floor
Nobody knew what would happen that day,
When everything I had was taken away.

I panicked and started to run away,
Afraid I would be killed if I stayed,
Nobody knew what would happen that day,
When everything I had was taken away.

Then oh! The glorious elevator opened its doors,
With the buttons pressed on all of the floors
Nobody knew what would happen that day,
When everything I had was taken away.

I couldn’t care less,
I ran to the lift,
The building I was in,
Started to shift,
Nobody knew what would happen that day,
When everything I had was taken away.

The lift doors closed,
And the plane smacked to our side
I didn’t even say goodbye.

Nobody knew what would happen that day,
When everything I had was taken away.
