In The Shadows

As the sun rises,
Bringing in light to all,
But also awakes the shadows,
Of every object.

And as the shadows wake,
So do I,
I hide in the darkness,
So no one can bother me.

I hide in the shade,
Admiring you from afar,
Pondering,
Should I ask her?

I hide in the shadows,
Wanting to be in light,
But is too afraid to move,
Is too afraid to see what others think of me.

So as the sun goes back to sleep,
The shadows disappear,
And soon I too go wondering,
Is it really all that great, living in the shadows?
