With Love From A Pen

Dear beautiful boy,
I wrote a poem about us.
The lines read:

“I can dream of you and me
More easily than anyone else.

It might be hormone fever.
Just a little crush.
But I’m heartbroken,
And your heart is so plush.

Maybe we could be...
Maybe just a little bit...
Maybe, I mean, possibly...
Possibly us…

Because every two
Needs a one plus one.
Every star in the sky
Can make one big constellation.
All the hearts that are broken
You can easily mend,
Especially mine.”
With love, from a pen.

But wait, that’s not the end!
It goes on with silly feelings,
And little rhymes,
Describing all the love I have for you:

“I don’t know why,
But sometimes I try
To be better than I’m capable of
Just for you and all the people I love.

Dearly beloved,
I barely know you,
But I know for sure that I love you.

Not the little things,
And not the details of what we know about each other.
It’s all about the feelings
That we experience and truly know.

Because every two
Needs a one plus one.
Every star in the sky
Can make one big constellation.
All the hearts that are broken
You can easily mend,
Especially mine.”
With love, from a pen.
