Ghost
Faded Dress,
A red pair of shoes,
She walks alone on the pavement
With a tuneless beat in mind
No breath to fog her eyes
She sees their smiles
She hears their laughter
But knows they are not for her
She meets no eyes on her eyes,
like lifeless skies
And walks with no shadow
or dreams to follow her disappearing form
It's winter now,
Her cheeks forever tinted gray
And hair a paler gold
A girl of the season's snow
A sight for a broken heart and sad eyes
Like a tragic movie
A sad song
a distant nightmare
Her history
Playing at the back of a locked door
with a missing key
Only the distant sounds and memories recognizable
She sits by the frozen weeping willow
Naked without it's leaves
Her ending
Marked on it's wood
Many years ago,
Watching the snowflakes fall,
The birds heading south
And the people live
Knowing that she doesn't exist
and will never will exist
A red pair of shoes,
She walks alone on the pavement
With a tuneless beat in mind
No breath to fog her eyes
She sees their smiles
She hears their laughter
But knows they are not for her
She meets no eyes on her eyes,
like lifeless skies
And walks with no shadow
or dreams to follow her disappearing form
It's winter now,
Her cheeks forever tinted gray
And hair a paler gold
A girl of the season's snow
A sight for a broken heart and sad eyes
Like a tragic movie
A sad song
