Is Love A Function

If love is un conditional
Why is it so high maintenance,
A complex emotion.
Riddled with rough edges,
But even the earths flesh is rough
Does that mean it is bad ?
Love is often expressed with hearts,
But are the hearts involved?
Surely it is the mind that has been stolen.
And surely Love is a quiet thing.
Bashful and innocent.
My love isn’t loud.
It is quiet and discrete, but it is a need.
Is love an emotion ?
Or is it a human function,
Needed just as food and water.
For even the loneliest man,
Can take comfort in knowing someone some where loves him,
That someone on this imperfect world could tessellate perfectly with him.
