It’s just a class we have to take to
Get into college
Now, no one likes math
But in the future, we will need it
-or that’s what teachers think
I can’t think about math
I have bigger things
To deal with
Like track
And my friends
And my boyfriend
And everything else
My thoughts are ramming
The side of my head
My head might just
Pop
My hear lays heavily
Inside my chest
I want to be with my love
But I’m in math
In math
Writing my feelings
And solving problems
Without numbers
