A Link To The Past

I saw your face but I couldn't comprehend,

Whether you were my enemy or my friend.

You kept letting on clues to me.

Maybe in another lifetime, you'd always say,

As we would lay there at the bay.

Time passes, water will freeze,

But my love for you will never cease.

Why must you say these things?

You call yourself a King,

But I do not see.

I was once your Queen in another lifetime,

But not now, not ever, never in this rhyme.

Your heart falls at my lack of rememberance.

I'm sorry but now we will dance our last dance.

This is our last time forever in this world,

I will never see you again, as I was told.

As I look into your eyes, it sparks my memory.

Back before we would dance like it was our last,

Loving eachother, knowing we wouldn't be seperated by the future or the past.

Let's sneak away before we get caught.

Let's teach the world how the times taught.

This, I must say, is my favorite out of all of my poems. I mean . . . I'm not that great of a poet, but I could use some help on some things.
