No Place Like.

I've seen the faces here before,
i knew them one time, not much more.
they told me how i'd have to go,
and how i once lived long ago.
i missed my turning, i miss my home,
if it exists it doesn't know.
and like the rest of them at night,
i cannot sleep through all the fights.

i missed your voice when you didn't speak,
i missed your face when i couldn't see.
i miss you everyday i'm here,
i miss you even when you're near.
but every grip i have lets go,
out to the heavy snow.

and underneath your sodden skies,
i made a wreath of cliche lies.
i cut up all your empty lines,
pulled them together with all of mine.
i only want what i can't have,
and only wish for, what i can't.
but i'm alright.
