I Love Local Shows

Tiny crowds in tiny venues
With tiny stages and no barricades
Where you feel the songs that bleed from the speakers
Soul-to-soul connection with the bands

Local bands that no one's heard of
Unless they're compulsively checking MySpace
I always give them a little extra cash at the merch table
Just because I know what it's like in a band

It may explain why band guys like having me around
