Everyone has someone, even if they don’t know it
We all have that person who even saying their name, we turn into the inside of a Snickers bar
All gooey and melty and ready to drop to the floor
But we love the feeling of flying or in our case falling
Falling head over heels for someone we have connected with
Sure not all channels add up
But even some are enough to put us in a spin

And so we let ourselves be engulfed in this persons grasp
And love every moment of the embrace
We let ourselves become babbling idiots
Even though the person we crave is miles and miles away

Pace the floor and play sappy music
Talk about how beautiful they are
And how you’d be nothing without them
And how much they’re ‘perfect for you even if there are some things missing’
It’s funny how after a few moments we go into this trance
And let ourselves fall into a pit of love and lust and sin
Even if we call it love, it remains pointless
But perfect all at once

As I type this I am sitting here, listing to ‘You’re Beautiful” by Pauline Croze on repeat
I think about the person that makes me feel the most love ever
The one who quit his job for me, who has already bought me a car
Even if he is across the border, buried in the snow and ice
I see his face and melt inside and think how lucky I am
Communication is limited but I save his emails and read them back
Each ends by telling me he loves me and his name.
And to think something as small as that can put me in a 240 mph spin

I love this feeling and I love him
I want him to hold me and tell me he loves me
I’m willing to invest in a step stool just so I can kiss him and look at him eye to eye
Stare into the depths of his soul
I want all this to become true
To be safe with him forever
Even if I don’t’ believe in forever
I’ll just make it up as I go along and laugh with him and enjoy myself
