Eyes of Tainted Purity

"Eyes of Tainted Purity"

Eyes of tainted purity,
Hearts of melted, chunky gold.
Led by the barking sheepdogs,
They dart in the direction they’re told.

Fighting for supposed justice,
But being charged into an enclosed box.
They’re living life as gold fish,
Trapped inside a two-gallon tank.

Others of their kind attempt to rescue them,
From the murky waters of misknowledge and deceit.
Then, the sheepdogs bare their fierce fangs and teeth,
And persist in their misleadingment.

Following the steps of a false cause,
They continue droning on.
Bleating out false promises,
Like blind, misled sheep.
