lies and truth

In a world of Lies, who tells the Truth?
Is it the girl standing quiet, shy, and aloof?
Or is it the women who have nothing to say,
The one’s who cry alone for their youth every day?

What’s in a lie that makes it untrue?
And though it seems impossible,
Can a lie ever be true?

Is a lie told from the confused,
The lie from the girls who were used,
A lie from twisted understanding.

Who judges who lies, who tells the truth?
Is truth only a perspective,
An opinion,
A ruse?

Is a lie only deception
An evil,
A wrong?

Can a lie be kind, the truth be cruel?

In a world of lies it’s surprising who’s true.
It’s the one who lies, because they’ve been lied to.
It’s everyone’s fault, it’s everyone’s pain.
That the one who speaks true speaks only in vain.
