To Long Gone

It's a frantic, speeding car
Headlights off, it doesn't know its path
The world is dark and cold around it
Stretched out, it's a long road towards the end

The glass smashes in
Is there no sound if no one is around to hear it?
It's said something not living can't have a soul
Maybe that means I don't have a soul either

Wrap me and darkness
Kiss my split lip
Clean up the mess
Of a bleeding, broken child

Wipe the tears
Mend the wounds
If you don't tell me when it's over
I'll stop believing
In me
and in You

To long gone is my life
Help me choose between wrong and right
