Death Becomes Her

Sitting in the dark
all alone inside her head
unable to concentrate
inside her heart is dead

a simple thing, unrequited love,
was all it took to beat her down
and no one comes by in time
to listen to her drown.

she tries to stay afloat
but her struggling makes it hard
finally she gives up the fight
and sinks down into the dark.
