The UP Album: the observatory room

Two teenage boys
Have their hands on the top rail;
Their feet on the low rail,
They both point at the sky.

They talk about how the stars
Form connected constellations;
While the other boy
Does jumping jacks in a corner.

The two busy teenagers
Walk to the observatory room;
Their hands in their pockets,
They wear blank expressions on their faces.

A professor sleeping soundly in the room,
They walk up the stairs as quietly as they could;
As they reach the top, they both look at each other
And do what college people do.

On the other hand,
The active teenage boy
Practices his basketball moves
Because that's what they do in college.

As time passes by
The first boy comes out of the room;
He wipes his mouth with a handkerchief
And he wears a smirk of satisfaction.

The other boy appears
His hand on his head;
He smooths his hair
And holds the smirk of victory.

They both walk out of the observatory room
Once again, hands in pockets;
They tread towards their friend
Who is sitting down and staring absentmindedly into space.
