Not A Single Care

You seem as if you don't have a care
And seem as if everything is fair
In a world of hate and cruelty,
You contribute no refugee to escape from.

Looking the in reflection of your pocket mirror
Seeing all the damage you've caused here
A cause without a reason
The ultimate fear of this open season.

Pulling petals off of flowers
Bringing in hopeful showers
Of what might have been, but not what could have
In the image of what you're creating yourself to be.

You're the artist of yourself
Create a thousand words
But only you can decide whether or not
You're contributing a decent person to this dreaded earth.
