What Happened To The Girl That She Used To Be Before?

She gazes in the mirror
Stares in wonder at what she sees
Such a sickly pale complexion
And hollowed sunken cheeks
The eyes that once held laughter
Are sad to unknown depths
The mouth that once gave smiles
Is home to chapped and broken lips
She doesn't know what happened
To the one she was before
Why the one that she is now
Is hurting to the core
She's changed so much just lately
Hurt the people that she loves
Experienced pain for unknown reasons
Lost any faith in up above
Her heart has ceased its beating
Her mind is now sealed shut
Breaking off from memories
Under which she had felt crushed
She's lost that loving innocence
Cut the ties that bind
And all her pain and sorrow
Has her trapped inside her mind
There's a blade on top her dresser
Stained with tears and blood
And tonight's the night to do it
Tonight she really would
She walked down her hall
Through the door of her room
Grabs that lonesome knife
That will put an end to all her gloom
She wanders back into the bathroom
To that mirror that she hates
Bloody veined green striking eyes
Stare back to tell her fate
She looks at the silver
With no ounce of remorse
Places it on her wrist
And pushes down with force
Pain shoots through her body
Yet pleasure is still mixed in
She shivers uncontrollably
Then smiles at her sin
The blood is pooled around her
She's growing paler yet
Yet with a look of triumph
She looks on with no regret
To a future of no chances
She'll be in Heaven or in Hell
Still death is fairly certain
And I'm here to tell her tale
She lived without a purpose
And darkness stole her heart
The pain she let consume her
Until she knew that she must part
From this place we call reality
Something else must exist
And just to end her sorrow
She was prepared to take that risk
