BLOODY NOSE & BLACKENED EYE!

Bloody nose and blackened eyes
He's at it once again
This man who used to be her world
May soon become her end
She wants so bad to hate him
She'd like to walk away
She keeps thinkin that she'll change him
That they'll be happy someday
She can never please him
All she does is wrong
She cries to think she's let the violence
Carry on this long
Cuz all she's ever wanted
Was the picture perfect life
The little house with the pickett fence
The man who loves his wife
But all she's ever gotten
Is bruises, scars and pain
She needs a man to shelter her
And save her from her shame.
At least she has her children
Thats how she makes it by
And it hurts her worse than his fists
When she has to watch them cry
She gets her thoughts collected
And loads her daddy's gun
Shes tired of being neglected
She'd rather live on the run
She sits alone in the kitchen
Until he comes through the door
She takes a steady aim and says
"You wont hurt me anymore."

And as he starts to stutter
She lets the hammer fall
She watches as he shutters
Then walks down the hall
She wakes her children up
And puts them in the car
She has no plans or maps -
Just her children and the stars.
