Silver Drops

Silver drops fall from their fountains like rain
Whatever they touch is left with a silver stain
Her tears fall in a silent flow
Each tear says she understands more than she shows
She knows no other way to deal with her sorrow
All she knows to do is cry softly and hope for a happier tomorrow

As the silver drops run down her face,
She walks through life in a silent daze
She'll never speak of the pain she endures
To confess her heart is not like her

Her tears are not like the metal we behold
No, her tears are not tears of gold
Because the innocence of her heart is reflected in her eyes,
Her tears are silver when she cries
