They say there's other fish in the sea.

But what if I don't want other fish, unfamiliar and cold.

The time's we've tried swirl around. I've lost you now.

I've tried to forget your smile & laugh, tunes & sights that I bury deep.

But at a word from you, I'm back in your pull.

I gravitate around you, the moon around a planet.

Your voice, God, it's something like music.

The sweet, printed words scroll across the light and I'm falling for you again.

Do you know how easily you have me?

I wish I could have you, like the sky has stars and the birds have song.

These poorly scrawled words barely convey my thoughts, but they're the best I have, mishappen letters and phrases.

They say that loves come and go, but I don't want this one to go anywhere.

I want the way I feel to stay, stuck in my heart forever.

So now you know, or you know as well as my rambling can let you.

Can you shove me aside, ripped Christmas paper on a cold morning, for a shiny new toy?

Can you be mine again, like little pink hearts and paper mache?

All I want is for your smile to stay mine as the light in my eyes stays yours.

Promises don't mean much compared to whispered words and fireflies.
