Canopy

--Canopy--

Abitare, respirare, urlare nel buio…

She stands tall-
soft and clear.
Strong and lithe,
shows no fear.

She stands tall,
breathing deep,
singing softly…
… Ballad of the Bittersweet.

She stands tall,
drifting hair,
set aglow
in sun’s glare.

She stands tall,
Permanently.
Set in earth,
for all to see.

She stands tall,
through dark and light.
The ancient soul,
a peaceful sight.

Okay, so yet again, tell me what this poem means to YOU. Then tell me how good it is. I love feedback.

The Italian in the beginning means 'living, breathing, howling/screaming in the dark'

My inspiration for this particular poem was actually a tree, but that fact should in no way hinder your own interpretation.
