Confusion

Don't know where I'm standing
all I can see is where I've been
Can't tell you where I'm going
because it isn't me who knows.
I'm hoping for the best,
but preparing for the worst
and wondering how much longer the ride will go.
Is it carnival closing down,
or a theme park all year long?
When will I find the answer,
and if I do how will I know?
