Her Own Worst Enemy.

She sits in her bedroom,
Ponders over the day,
Wonders what tomorrow will bring,
Or who will break her down,
She can’t help but feel,
Like everything’s against her,
She’s so helpless in the situation,
And she can’t get free.

She’s her own worst enemy,
She’s destroying herself down,
Drinking her way,
To get her through the day,
The only way she knows.

Those nasty red lines,
Each for a day in her life,
That she can’t control,
Or take back, make better, at all,
She wants to pin the blame,
On anyone but herself,
She’s trying to play the blame game,
But no one wants to play along with her.

She’s her own worst enemy,
She’s destroying herself down,
Drinking her way,
To get her through the day,
The only way she knows.

She’s fighting her loosing battle,
With the bottle, the pills and that little sharp object,
She cant find the strength,
To pull herself out,
But neither can he,
He wants to help,
But he knows his tries will be in vain.

She’s her own worst enemy,
She’s destroying herself down,
Drinking her way,
To get her through the day,
The only way she knows.

So now the final deed is done,
What is left of her life,
She’s the one she hates the most,
And she can’t let herself go.
