Empty words and envious eyes
A half-fast idea or well thought out lies
Nothing is real in the mind of a child
false thoughts we want exiled

Our bones are rattling but we show no fear

The criminals are set free from behind locked bars
Roaming on untraced paths to insanity
Tripping over unlaced feet with a beat of profanity

Alphabetized hearts beating in sync
Fluttered at the sight of a meaningless wink
Lost out at sea with nothing to see
With all happiness comes a subtle fee

A look of sarcasm hung with perfection
Haunting in the webbing like a deathly infection
There's no knowledge of what we mean
Just flashing lights or red and green

Electrocuting looks to kill no one
A scene as perfect as the setting sun
Stares as distant as those lacking glass
A moment of silence from all the harass

Tear drops of metal peer over the edges
Your one mark away from jumping over ledges
The scratching on your wall are losing space
Black caped, still spitting in your face

The sky has lost all of it's shine
I want the one thing that can't be mine
To have my heart back from the past
The calendar keeps on flipping fast

Travel back on film strips seen before
Can we remember the playback anymore?
