Snowflakes

I stand freezing by the lake
I peer into it's frozen depths
I cant see my reflection
The ice is clouded
The snowflakes cluster
On the surface of the Icy water
I step, wearily, out onto the lake
I look up to the gray sky
The snowflakes rest
In the corners of my eyes
I glide over the surface
Sure and steady, I fly
My arms outstretched
I feel liquid sliding forward
but as soon as the joy started
It ended
With a "crack"
And I sink under
Experiencing the icy heart attack
The sky still falls with
Snowflakes
