In Her Head

She yells to all her friends cant you see the pain?
But they just don’t comprehend
Cause she is just yelling her head
She needs to find an outlet
For the pain and emotions that surround her
And what she keeps she keeps bottled inside
That only stays in her mind
Why do you always ignore her?
Even though she seems to be watching her time?
But she would never hurt herself
Cause that would put the pain on some one else

And the clock strikes 12 and her fears start flying out the window
And she starts to drown her sorrow
With the only thing she knows
And as the music surrounds her
She can hardly touch down now
As she engulfs herself in the notes and beats and rhythms
That comes out of the headphones
Cause its better than any anti- depressant that you could ever give her

She feels the stinging in her eyes; it’s not a surprise
That she feels this way
As she recovers from the hangover
That last nights tears left on her shoulder
As she sinks back down to earth
She hates all the tears,
All she wants is to just disappear
But then again, now all she can do is scream in her head.

As the clock strikes 12 and her fears fly out the window
And she starts to drown her sorrow
With the only thing she knows
And as the music surrounds her
She can hardly touch down now
As she engulfs herself in the notes and the beats and rhythms
That comes out of the headphones
Cause its better than any anti-depressant that you could ever give her

She sleeps all alone
As the feeling of control
Finally slips away at night
Cause she’s giving up the fight
But her friends, they only need her
Not love her not want her not fear her
They don’t even want to be near her
As she cries in her head
