The Five Stages Of Unrequited Love; 4. Sadness

Blue. Everything is blue. Stop all the clocks.
Time will not tick for as long as I rock
Myself to sleep, huddled in deep sadness,
Gone are the valleys of sun and gladness,
He was Alpha, Omega, sun and moon,
He plagued my thoughts through empty night and noon,
The beginnings of a half-Romeo.
Shall I love again? Time can only know,
No tears, but an infinite dewy eye,
I am no rose - I shall not wither and die,
Why wither for a lost cause? I know not.
So I pick myself up and stop the rot.
Life plays once more - I live, and now am free,
From a life where no one loves or wants me.
