Melody of Freedom

Her fingers dance across the keys,
Through her dreams her heart runs free.

Soon her eyes begin to close,
She enters the world that only she knows.

There she flies above the sea,
And can be the girl she wants to be.

Soon on the cliffs is where she sings,
And watches what the sea will bring.

Away from the cliffs she freely runs,
And to the hills under the sun.

In the hills she sings with trees,
Soon there’s something else she sees.

Wolves are running through the dirt,
She joins them, hitching up her skirt.

She soon arrives back at the cliffs,
Her mind’s not plagued by endless what-ifs.

She sits atop a jagged rock,
The key to her heart had met the lock.

As the song comes to a close,
She opens her eyes and sees she’s home.
